So your Virtual Pinball Cabinet Flat Pack is built and your ready to install your backglass monitor.
- First install your vesa mount to the monitor of your choice.
- Then take a measurement from the front of your monitor to the front edge of the vesa mount.
So for example the monitor pictured in the main photo for this blog is 3 inches from the front of the monitor to the front edge of the vesa mount.
if you want your monitor to be flush with the plexi cut 2 pieces of wood that both equal the measurement you just took. In this example it is 3 inches. Then screw those pieces of wood into both sides of the backbox with the forward edge running parallel to the plexi glass insert channel like in the photo below. (always be sure to pre drill pilot holes)
After you have installed both boards on either side you should then be able to slide you monitor into the Vpin backbox and the vesa mount will stop and sit on the 2 installed boards. Be sure to center the monitor between the top and bottom edges of the Virtual Pinball cabinet backbox. Then like pictured below start to install the 90 degree brackets of your choice.
I install just a single bracket with a single screw. We then raise the backbox off the table move the monitor so its at the angle inside the backbox we want then add an additional screw and additional 90 degree brackets to secure the monitor and prevent it from moving.
Then simply unscrew and remove the boards from the backbox. Your all set your backglass monitor is installed.
I hope this helps!!!
